Bayern Draws With Real Madrid in Champions League Semi-Final First Leg

Close Match Decides Nothing

Bayern Munich and Real Madrid played to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday night in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final at the Allianz Arena. Real took an early lead thanks to a 66th minute goal by Vinicius Junior in the 66th minute, but Bayern fought back and equalized with a goal by Jamal Musiala in the 79th minute.

Bayern Dominate Possession

Bayern controlled possession for much of the match, but they struggled to create clear-cut chances in the first half. Real Madrid, on the other hand, were more dangerous on the break, and they threatened to score on several occasions.

Second Half Bayern Response

Bayern came out stronger in the second half, and they began to create more chances. They were rewarded for their efforts when Musiala equalized with a well-taken goal from just outside the area. Bayern pushed for a winner in the closing stages, but they were unable to find a breakthrough.

Still All to Play For

The draw leaves the tie finely balanced heading into the second leg in Madrid next week. Bayern will be confident of getting a positive result at the Santiago Bernabeu, but Real Madrid will be no pushovers.
